Mardi Gras Indians

Super Sunday and Saint Joseph's Night have just passed, and I couldn't resist the opportunity to go see what the events are all about. Beyond Mardi Gras Day, this is the only other time to see the Mardi Gras Indians roaming the Crescent City streets. Donning one of a kind homemade costumes, small tribes move through the city followed by drums and spectators. They make stops at friends and families houses, while challenging other tribes they meet along the way. More info on the history of the Indians.
